I am looking to buy JUST a sofa from American Freight. The website shows a bunch of sets, and some of the sets can be separated

I have had bad experiences there, and not good quality furniture.. kinda get what you pay for.

I never had a bad experience there and i've bought a ton a furniture there. I didnt try to haggle because the sofa i bought was already on sale.

I can't find the link, but a few years ago they were found out to be refurbishing USED mattresses. Gross. I know from what friends have said that the place sells things cheap, but like breee03 said, you get what you pay for.

EW! Refurbish used mattresses grosses me out to no end, esp. since I'm allergic to dust and dust mites, and I can only imagine how my skin would react to a mattress like that. I hope other places don't do this as well as I am in need for a new mattress.

We tried to buy a set from them once. The sales guy kinda rubbed me the wrong way and we were nervous about the quality of it.

We went with Ashley's Furniture instead. Much more expensive but long lasting!

If you just need a sofa to last you a few years then I see no problem with going with American Freight. :) I have a friend who bought leather furniture from them about 3 years ago and it's still standing. So maybe it's a hit or miss with them.

Youre gonna have a tough time finding anything other than a set -- usually a loveseat included with the sofa. My furniture I got from there is good quality, and I have no issues with it. Affordable, too.

It's not perfect, obviously, but you could do a lot worse I think.
