People Inc is always hiring. If you hurry you can get our awesome Christmas bonus (at least Im pretty sure we are getting one...so the rumor goes)... and u can put me down as a reference.
I know this is kind of out of left field, but I'm going to be graduating from college in December and I'm really interested in the work that People Inc does. Would it be alright if I emailed you with some questions about the organization?
the main reason i haven't applied to People Inc is because you need a driver's license. i've never had one before (sad at 24) so i wouldn't qualify. are there positions available that do not require one? or have the rules changed recently? other than this stumbling block, this would be a great job for someone like myself. any info would be appreciated.
I've been in your shoes before. It's a very tough choice to make, but your mental health is much more important than a job that makes you miserable! I hope you find something soon. I'm looking too!
I was sitting back this afternoon and realized that I haven't had the desire for a SINGLE DRINK since my time was up at my old job. Super rewarding and wonderful in so many ways, but it was emotionally draining, work without end sort of thing where I would just go home and get hammered constantly.
I give you credit for making that choice. 6 years is a long time and it is easy to get comfortable and guilt ridden when you think negatively, at least that was my case.
Not sure what you did in the way of elderly care but I noticed on CL a ton of home aide positions of the private sort, NOT through an agency. Might be worth looking into.... Also shit, I lost the link, I had it on my browser but go back a few days on the CL jobs, there is a post for part time relief of assisting with an 11 year old autistic kid, like taking him out and whatnot. Almost applied, seemed like a really pleasant position actually.
That's about it. My job hunting was not so humanitarian, sorry. :P
Do you by chance know about how many hours the coffee roastery position might be? It looks like I may be looking at moving back into the city and a job downtown would be ideal.
