There used to be Sunday Picnics in the park years ago. They kinda died slowly but surely.

Try the Adirondack Mountain Club. They have local hikes, bikes, paddles and other outdoor activities. Hiking and back packing is cheap, fun and healthy. There are people of all ages, incomes, walks of life in the group. I've found them to be fun and healthy individuals.

That sounds rad. Do they do anything in the city? Bike rides and such? Do they go climbing?

I know there are bike rides in the city. Especially one on New Year's Day. I'm sure you could fine a climber or two. adk.org Click on Niagara chapter.

ADK is a club to use all the stuff you buy at Eastern Mountain Sports.

hi, i don't know if you read the post I made a few weeks ago.. But I started a hula-hooping group in Delaware park that goes to the end of the summer. We meet every nice sunday afternoon behind the rose garden from 12pm - about 3-4pm (sometimes later)

in case you are interested you are welcome to come and I have extra hula hoops to use if you dont have one yourself and would like to come try it out and meet some new people! :)

I never met anywhere here personally either, except 1 or 2 that I met before knowing they were in this community. I'm awkward at meeting people and probably make horrible first impressions, but I just graduated from UB so all my friends have jumped ship out of Buffalo now too, so I know the feeling and I'm up for a dorks meetup.
