I don't like his new "If I can't see it, then I can tax it" policy.

I had to think for a moment there...right, he's blind...so he taxes everything we see!

word.

Hubby keeps joking that he's going quit his job (A well paying job at that)...because "I'll probably get more collecting welfare than I make now at my job"...

If Patterson gets his way... the above statement will probably end up being true (not the him quitting his job to collect welfare part... I'd divorce him over that...)

That is the plan. Have us all beholden to the government.

And you can't forget his proposed tax on filing a paper tax return. :-D

Can we hurl cardboard likenesses of the governor overboard and call it the Buffalo Tea Party? :-D

Kinda reminds me of the stamp tax of 1773. (Tax on paper for official business.)

Sure, but then how does it make sense to tax exercise at health clubs or skiing?

Ummmmmmm the taxes are good and necessary? Like, soda is a good idea.. and if you can afford skiing and a health club membership, you can afford to give more?

Certainly taxes cover such necessary items that individuals can not provide for themselves such as, roads, schools, police, military. However, raising taxes without also cutting expenses is wrong. There is much waste in this state that can be cut. Many things that the government has taken over that people can do for themselves ( ... )
