Photographers

The post earlier this afternoon regarding wedding ceremony and reception locations got me thinking...

Any recommendations on wedding photographers?

Thanks in advance!

I heard JMK photography is great.

Another option if you're on a budget is hire a photography student. One of my girlfriends (who is now in England doing photography) when she was a student was hired to take wedding photos. She charged $75 and took photos of the pre-ceremony, ceremony, post-ceremony group photos, and reception. She then burned all copies to a cd/dvd and signed over the copyrights to the family.

I'm using Bruce Glena as my July wedding photographer, and based on all of the recommendations I've gotten, I'm very secure with my decision!

My friend is a photographer and has done weddings before. He lives out in Rochester and has a full-time job elsewhere but if you're interested I could talk to him to see if he'd be willing to make a trip & what his rates are.

Thank you so much! I would be interested in his rates and also seeing some of his work.

Still have to ask about rates & if he'd be available (what is the date?), but here's *some* of his work (I know it's not much but he doesn't have anything else up on the internet right now):
