Book sale at the Niagara Library

Oct 11, 2006 19:16

Just in case anyone is interested.....

I work at this library and want you to know that we have been working on getting everything
ready for a big booksale at the Niagara Branch Library at 280 Porter on the corner of Porter and Niagara.
I can tell you that the majority of the books are regular fiction, although I saw a lot of nice sci-fi/fantasy paperbacks. If you are looking for kids VHS tapes or books on cassette there's a good (but pretty beat up) selection, but nothing in the way of DVD's CD's or LP's (we usually only get rid of those if they are damaged, and our vinyl was sold off many moons ago)We also have a larger than normal selection of Spanish Language items.

That said; here's the low down:
Where: Niagara Branch Library 280 Porter Ave 882-1537 In the downstairs basement.

When: (our hours were cut because of the budget fiasco, and all city libraries are closed on Wed the 18th so this part's a little convoluted)
Friday 10/13 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
Saturday 10/14 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Monday 10/16 12:30pm - 7:30pm
and
Friday 10/20 10:30am - 5:30 pm BAG SALE

Prices:
Hardcover $1 each 12 for $10
Paperback .50 each 3 for $1
VHS & Audiobooks $1 sold as is (some items are missing cases or may not play properly)
On Friday the 20th we will sell off what is left for $1 a bag $5 a box but only on that day

Also, we sadly do not have handicap access to the basement where the books are being sold.
There is a small parking lot on the Prospect street side across from D'Youville
This is going on while the library is open and we have a small staff, so please be patient.
That said there are some great deals, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have, please feel free to share this information with
any interested party/forum
Thanks!
