Moment of silence for my favorite attraction..Alien Encounter

I thought I would share a glimps of my favorite attraction that is no more. Alien Encounter was one of my favorite attractions in Disney. I remember hearing about it on TV how they were going to let lose a alien in a room with people in it...I was like....no way!!!

Well anyway it had the best writing...and the best cameos in it....Here is a video

I think it was back in 1998 or 2000 that we visited my sister on Sanibel Island and took her kids to Disney. We got into Alien Encounter and my niece went absolutely apeshit crazy--screaming, crying....I nearly unhooked us from the seats to get the hell out of there. It took her about 15 minutes to calm down, the damned attraction scared her so much--she must've been 6 or 7 at the time.

awww.....I am sorry....my nephew did he same thing....he was about the same age....but he stopped being scared in the middle.....he said I was screaming like a girl and that made him laugh.

I know how emotional it can be when one of your favorites is no more. The shock of Mr. Toad, The Ft. Wilderness RR, If You Had Wings, the Skyway, and others were very upsetting to me. Lee, fortunately you had the good sense to break the rules and capture a little magic on video for yourself. I have found some others on YouTube who fortunately captured the magic of the attractions I mentioned beforehand in years past. Thanks for sharing, Pal. There is a kid in all of us. btw, the story about your nephew and the guy with the six year old girl is hilarious! ~ jeff
