I bought my house 14 years ago and the night I moved in I sat on a packing crate hyperventilating. I'd never owed anyone money, never had a loan, never spent more than I earned [and I have earned some pretty low wages over the years] but it was the best thing I ever did.

I hope the job thing gets sorted in your favour and things settle down in that area. Good luck with everything!

The Muppets film is worth seeing (probably after half term is finished is better though) because it's awesome. I just saw it this evening and loved every minute of it.

Suspicion is good with estate agents because they will often lie and try to rip you off. I suggest getting some kind of tough facial tattoo to intimidate them into being nice. When Katy and I got a mortgage I think the fact that we both put down 'surveillance agent' as our job description helped a lot in getting things through quickly.
