What was the last thing you had going on in your head while meditating?

I was thinking about adjusting my signal-to-noise threshold with respect to interpersonal relationships.

How does your signal-to-noise threshold work?

Poorly! Mostly I'm trying to learn to distinguish between simple friendliness and the more complex behavior of romantic interest. I've never been very good at it.

In a different vein, I imagine it "working" like a Fourier transform on the signals from my eyes, ears, and skin. Look at the third example in the image. The analog signal comes in and you can't discern just by looking at it that it's comprised of 5, 10, and 20 kHz sine waves. So you do some math and you're left with the data in a different "domain" whereby you can see peaks clearly. That's how I imagine it working in my head. I get all this messy analog data from people and I try to deconvolute it into discrete sources.

My nerd dial goes to 11.

i think about insects a lot, but most recently it was a really, really, really depressing book i'd read.

i just kinda let it go in one ear and out the other. resistance has only caused further damage to the silence in my head-space.

i was thinking about where i've come from and where i've gone in such short time, and how happy I am.
