hmmm...a movie like the break up is a hard film to pull off. It is difficult to balance the realistic integrity of a movie while still trying to be entertaining at the same time. It ended up alienating some viewers. You can easily hear about the challenges of a break-up from the ppl in your own life without going to the cinema. The question is, what new insight did this movie have to offer about going through a break up that we don't already know? Check out the films that came before this one, dealing with separation "Scenes from a marriage" and "Husbands and Wives" that handle the issue in a more engaging way.
