Always remembered seeing this at different intervals of my life, so I know it's a long existing brand. I happened upon it recently while perusing the soda aisle of a K-Mart in Feasterville, PA. Thought it looked neat in an old-fashioned glass-bottle shaped 1-liter plastic bottle.
Well, if by "old fashioned" they mean tasting like medicine as sodas and pops were initially sold as, they're right on the money. Ugh! It literally tastes like carbonated cough syrup. Not much rooty flavor. Some bite. Forms about as much head as Coca-Cola, but that mediciney taste just kills any chance of this coming off as a good root beer. Dad's has a few other varieties of sodas, so I hope they taste better than this!
Sweetened with: "high fructose corn syrup"
Verdict: Not worth your time
