revisiting axioms

i have been thinking about this stuff a bit recently, and it was going back to reread this story on a whim that let these thoughts begin to solidify.

also, they posted an epilogue to three worlds collide since you recommended it, so you've got more reading to do :)

I was going to write more about both ideas, but then I was running late, so I posted that part so other people reading this post would see it. Communicationfail on me. I will complete my reading assignment soon and get back to you with philosophizing :P

Buddhism - in particular it's a variant on the idea of Bodhisattva.

If you're up for a challenge, try for a synthesis of those ideas with Freud's ideas about civilisation and the self.
