Fonon Frequency
Once again, that new energy that had weaved itself into the Network's inhabitants had begun to shift and redefine itself. After all, people generally were not the same as eachother - with so many defining features, why should their own life energy not be one of them? They all needed, the Void was now sure, a new kind of identity. Something that marked their place in the universe, something unique to each individual. Their life energy needed a signature of some kind, a frequency all of its own.
The trouble lay, however, with those who occupied the same place in two seperate realities. They were, in the technical sense, the same person - a duplicate. Why, then, should they not share a frequency? Why should they not share other things as well? Their thoughts, perhaps? After all, if they were indeed the same person, it simply did not make sense otherwise.
(From here onwards, all AU/OU duplicates have the potential to read each other's thoughts. Players of such duplicates are recommended to come up with some kind of agreement - if in doubt, always ask permission!)
