Xbox Questions for the Masses

I have 2 Xbox/Rock Band related questions for the knowledgeable.

1. Our Xbox died a while back and we sent it in to Microsoft, who kindly sent back a refurbished unit for us. We reattached our hard disk, and waysofseeing redownloaded all of our content for Rock Band. The Xbox web site says that this is all you need to do for all users to be able to access ( Read more... )

1. I think the problem is that downloaded content is attached to a) the user ID that originally purchased it and b) the xbox it was originally downloaded to. Assuming that waysofseeing was the one who made the purchase that would explain why he can access them and you can't. The reason you could before is because you were playing on the xbox they were downloaded to. I would HOPE that xbox CS would be able to correct this for you and "flag" your new xbox to use all the downloaded content, since the old one went kerfizzle.

2. You're going to have the same problem. Using Rockband as an example, you should be able to play the downloaded content, as long as waysofseeing is the "main player" and every one else is playing with him. However is someone else is the "main player" or if someone else were to play on their own, they wouldn't be able to access the downloaded content.
