so, i was just down in gallagher chatting with hughes, tom and masa.  we eventually got to the fact that i grew up in dubuque (hughes had forgotten about that), and that i went to eisenhower elementary.  masa asked me if i was there in 1996... which i was.  he actually student-taught there.  and the moment he mentioned that, i totally recognized

One fond memory i have of Mr. F. is when Meredith told me that for the first couple lessons she put her mouthpiece on backwards (as in: biting on the reed with her front teeth) and he didn't notice for a couple weeks. Nice guy, just...hmm.
