That was an amazing turn of events. There's no happy ending of the sort we're used to, but this is a totally Torchwood ending. In other words, it is unexpected, sad, curious, and mostly just stunning. It certainly teaches us to take no result for granted.

At least Tosh got a happy ending, even if the rest of the world is still picking up the pieces.

Hey, you caught on to my plan! I wanted to leave the end deliberately vague. I was toying with the idea of a happy ending, but then I realized that that's not where my brain wanted to go.

Glad you liked it, I'm thinking of another story, but I have to work it out in my head first before I work it out on paper.
