So, in case you haven't heard yet, LiveJournal has been sold by Six Apart to Russian blogging company SUP. This is the company that LJ licensed Russian LJ to last year. More about that on

I would like to nominate you. Your post are always well thought out and fair. I can think of no better person to represent the users on lj. I don't feel comfortable blindsiding you with a nomm though. :D You may not even have time for something like this.
I just value and respect your opinions and would know that you'd take into account all sides of any issues that would come up.

I would be more than willing to accept a nomination and do this thing if fandom thinks I am the best choice, as long as I've seen something from LJ that reassures me that the advisory board will actually be listened to.
As for time, I probably do have enough, unless this were to turn into some sort of 40 hour per week every week type of gig, but I kinda doubt that's what they have in mind.
Please, join the community. We still only have a few members, but if we can get it pimped and get some others, I think we'll start seeing discussions soon. Whether it winds up being me or someone else, I just think that it's really important that fandom come to some sort of consensus on who to back in this so that we don't wind up splintering our numbers and getting two reps in there who don't understand fandom at all. Especially since so much of the controversy lately has involved us.
*hugs you back*

I am not sure how that whole nominating thing is going to work over there but I really do feel that you are the best candidate.
