I grew up in Southern West Virginia. Anyone who has ever spent any time there will understand when I say that the culture there is such that it's nearly impossible NOT to believe in ghosts. Born and raised in northeastern Tennessee, and I understand what you mean by oral tradition. My father told me many a ghost story growing up; they're part of our family's gospel.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I think I'd like to try it but then I wonder how that'd work considering that I tend to to attract them as it is. Not sure I want to open that particular can or worms.

I used to go ghost hunting with friends too based on stories we had heard.
