This weekend started with a scratchy, sore throat. Which progressed to loss of voice and persistent cough. By last night, though, I was starting to feel better. I think the presentation actually went quite well. As usual, I worry too much.

And I don't know how I forgot to mention this in my earlier post, but boo World Series. I mean, it was lose-lose for me, since I am a Braves and Red Sox fan, but yeah, baseball fail this year. Better luck in 2010.

Halloween kicked ass this year. Two parties, two costumes (Professor Utonium with the Powerpuff Girls and then a pack of ninjas). A great time had by all. Until Sunday morning when I was like OH SHIT GRAD SCHOOL IS STILL REAL. That doesn't include the four books I have on Interlibrary Loan from other Ivy League schools, or the two that I've had recalled from other Yale students. This just in: there will be a rendition of "Sweet Caroline" on Glee this week (also "The Thong Song," "Bust a Move," and "What a Girl Wants"); YES, THAT'S RIGHT, A RED SOX ANTHEM ON GLEE. This show just keeps getting better and better. So excited! And so bummed about the two-week hiatus afterwards. But so excited all the same!!

That's right. We are now officially being ninjas for Halloween. I've already got the mask and the pants and a belt worked out. I just need to get a long-sleeved black shirt and some black footwear (trying to figure out exactly what I'll do for that bit, keeping in mind that most people aren't going to care what I have on my feet, lol ( Read more... )
