So when I was asked to make a playlist for something Big Time Rush related, my mind immediately went to Kogan.  If I’m being completely honest, this pairing was what finally had me diving into the fandom (after a minute amount of resistance).  What did I go looking for?  Slashy fanfic, that’s what.

Joni Mitchell and Dashboard Confessional and Counting Crows <3___<3

I actually know all the songs on this playlist, but those songs...they're some of my favorite songs ever of all time.

I don't know exactly which trope this fits for, but I do know that it fits better for irl than showverse. The Night Will Go as Follows makes me think of Kogan. Probably because that band is emo/acoustic and I kind of think Kendall is the perfect person to make music like that, and the lyrics just make me see a scenario where Kendall is singing it at the party he and Logan supposedly meet at, and so now it has ~special meaning~ for both of them. I could probably find a way to fit any Dashboard Confessional song for Kogan just because...Kendall. I'm kind of a dummy obviously.

I have to agree with the Dashbaord Confessional comment. The angst is dripping from all their lyrics, right? And...Kendall. Yeah. You're no dummy.

I try not to think about RL Kogan too much b/c it's too much, you know? (That statement makes total sense to me.) But in my head, Kendall has this thing for Logan and it's not completely mutual or mutually accepted. So I think of that song "Nicest Thing" by Kate Nash. Sorry no link. I'm on my junky phone.

Most of these tropes I haven't even encountered omg. I guess not straying far from lj is limiting.

I haven't read any fics with Logan as a hooker, but I feel like if it was done correctly that could be hilarious and great. Not all hooker fics have to be angsty, and I think Kendall and Logan would sort of fit that.

I've read the hell out of ff.net, but you find more quality stuff on LJ. Finding specifics has always just been so much easier for me on ff.net, and sometimes it's fun to find a gem after reading lots of badfic. Those tropes become somewhat heavy-handed at times, so it makes the goodfic that much better.
