Aw, this is very sad. The way it goes from him fondly remembering the sound of James' laugh to loathing it. That is a great coda. Thank you for sharing all of these lovely fics with us!

I liked how restrained this was, how the sadness leaked out in tiny dribbles, only to have it come hurtling out at the end. And there was something very quietly real in the way that Gaeta found a connection to Jammer through these mundane, everyday objects like laundry simply because they belonged to him. This was really quite poignant.

Btw, the idea of Jammer having been in a relationship with Gaeta, who escaped the Circle when Jammer didn't, is a totally heartbreaking premise. To imagine Gaeta living with that burden is just such a gutpunch.

Thank you. This is exactly what I had been hoping to accomplish. There never really is a way to deal with it.

And I think that is why this is my favorite pairing.
