I do like trying to think of why she was acting in a commercial, why she insisted she was a Mrs, etc etc in this universe, so you never know, maybe one day I'll revisit it.

Oh wonderfully done! I had to do a double take when I realized the time switch! I love how you've mirrored the movie yet managed to bring it to present day. Imagining Laura's back story here leaves a lot to ponder on.

You really must continue when you get the chance...they are both clearly unhappy and it is up to you to fix it!

Trying to fit in the right dialogue was tricky and I thought maybe some of it may have sounded weird. Hee. Actually, the one I did remove -- Mary calling her 'mama' made me laugh the most, because my kids call me 'mama' all the time!

We certainly wouldn't want them unhappy!

I finally got around to reading this - am not usually a fan of a/u or 'in our time' fics, but this has me intrigued. My heart (or maybe it was my stomach - either way: not healthy!) was doing flips when they said goodbye. I do hope that you continue this someday, would love to know more about 'this' Laura. And of course make sure that my organs return to normal.

I don't know if I've read any a/u FAT fics. I really do need to catch up over at the comm. But I do love a/u generally, so no wonder this idea shoved its way into my brain.

If I ever get time, I'd like to write another 'chapter' to this fic though. Why does she insist on being called Mrs? LOL
