Oh, this is beautiful. I love Starbuck's discharge and all the Baltar stuff is HILARIOUS ("As she started to cry, she added, 'But how can one man make everyone happy?'") and the quote from Six! hahahahahhaha and aw, Helo.

Roslin's hallucinations were amazingly done, and I love the articles about Baltar. And....oh, Sharon and Tyrol and that knowledge, but being okay despite that. And yay Helo. IT made my heart happily explode.

Got here through crack_van, and I'm so very glad I did. I love what-ifs, I love AUs, and this is a wonderful snapshot. It feels real, in-character, and I can completely believe this of everyone you wrote. I'm always fascinated by the concept of extreme situations applied to characters and seeing how they react. One of the reasons why I love BSG is because of that very idea applied. You took that idea and reversed it, which is made of so much awesome.

I love the format you took in writing Starbuck's and Baltar's fate. I think they both resonate more that way. The more insidious version of the Cyclon plan in the first snip was CREEPY. I REALLY like that Roslin was hallucinating the show. I love best the Helo one though, the idea of him getting a second Sharon who isn't really Sharon. It's sort of this "happy ending" that isn't, because, well, Sharon is always going to be a Cylon.

Thank you for the fantastic, detailed comments! These kinds of comments really make my day (especially since my day kind of sucked, and this was a great cheer-up!), and I'm really delighted that the story was so enjoyable! I love writing these kinds of AU snapshots - it's such a fun way to play around with different ideas and scenarios.

Yay! I do like slightly creepy things!

I love best the Helo one though,

I think that one (plus the Baltar newspaper one) was my favourite to write. I really wanted to think about Helo meeting an alternate Sharon and clicking with her. And trying out the formats of the Baltar and Starbuck snapshots was really fun and challenging.

I love thinking about apocalypse scenarios, or other really extreme situations, partially because I like to think about how people in general (not just fandom specific characters) ( ... )
