The bleachers were battered, made of lumber rejected for building, and the flickering lights were aimed at the playing field, leaving the spectators in the shadows as they watched the game. Still, it was something to take the settlers mind off their worries for an evening, something to do when the tents became too confining.
“This reminds me of high school,” Laura said, covering her grin with the edge of a blanket.
“You were one of those, weren’t you, Roslin?” Saul smirked as he passed his flask under the blanket to her waiting hand. Bill raised a cautionary eyebrow as he shot a look at Saul over the top of Laura’s head

Waaaay too long for a comment. Hot damn, this got pornier than I expected. I have no regrets. Full version at my journal here, but first a teaser:
He kicked off his shoes and grabbed her hand, pulling her down the stairs and onto the sand. She left her shoes behind, too, and soon they were running down the beach, the still-warm sand beneath their bare toes.
He stopped at the water’s edge and pulled off his shirt. This was a view, too, she greatly admired, no matter how many times she saw it. She pulled him in close and ran her fingers over the muscles of his arms as they kissed.
“Let’s go for a swim,” he suggested.
“Left my bathing suit up in your lair,” she said.
“Didn’t take you for the modest type,” he teased, and his hands were warm on her skin, under her shirt. Before she had time to react, her bra was unhooked, the sneaky bastard.
Hi, mod! Friendly ETA note, title changed to "Get to Sea" instead of "Get To The Sea." If I'm going to quote Melville, I really should do it right, ugh.
