Inspiration Day: Drabble Time

This is a suggestion made by fragrantwoods a few weeks ago, and I think it's a great idea. If it works, we may start alternating our Fridays between this, and our regular Friday prompting.

Clouds of smoke drifted over the bar. New Caprican “something-like-chicken” was cut up and laid on the ramshackle grill, turning a rich burnished brown.

He arched an eyebrow when Laura asked for their portions to be wrapped in foil. Want to show you something…a place.

Twenty minutes later they were stretched out under an afternoon sky...tent cities, battlestars, forgotten.

She spun a picture of a life fully lived, pointing at trees where cabins could be, eyes half-closed like a contented cat.

He kissed spicy-sweet sauce from her mouth, her fingers. She shared a cup of water clear as glass.

Ooof! So lovely and sweet, very A/R. That line about a contented cat is wonderful writing. I'm just gonna pretend this is how it happens for them, ok?!

I love this. I love the palpable sense of peace here - and their quiet connection in these sort of moments, and your descriptions. They are just as amazing as always - even when you're limited by word count. :D
