Sharon had been given a pale yellow shift, and Helo wore his full uniform. They framed the purple-robed priestess of Aphrodite, who smiled as she led the ceremony. Any misgivings she may have had about what she was doing never made it to her face.
There were no decorations, no flowers or attendants, and the happy couple was circled by fewer guests than Kara had at her own spur-of-the-moment ceremony.
And the bride was a Cylon: who could've predicted that one?
Still, there was no doubting the love in Helo's eyes when he repeated his vows, and Sharon smiled hard as she blinked back tears. When the priestess pronounced them joined in the eyes of the gods and then encouraged a kiss to seal the sacrament, Kara felt Sam take her hand, his fingers threading with hers.
She turned and gave him a smile that plainly said he was a big frakking sap and he'd never live it down, but it didn't keep her from admiring their freshly inked arms when he pulled her close.
