plumbing the depths

Shortly before Christmas, we had to bring out a plumber to unclog our toilet. Not being able to unclog my own toilet was a minor source of quiet shame for me, so when the toilet clogged again after a couple of weeks... I tried to ignore it. Oh man that sucks, e and I had all kinds of problems with trees and toilets when we lived in St. Louis, MO. I hope the repairs get done soon for you.

Since we're in a duplex, certain categories of clog that only affect one side of the duplex are our responsibility (c.f. shit bricks). However, since it turned out to not be such, the landlord is in fact paying for it all.

I literally just got off the phone with my Dad and apparently he had the same problem (roots) -- only he shelled out the bucks to have everything totally redone from the toilet all the way to the city's hookup.

What a bizarre coincidence.
