Before I even read more, I’m going to write that my fiancé has called me by his ex-wife’s name at least once (I think it’s happened more than that) and that’s okay. I don’t feel threatened, even though they’re in pretty constant contact because they have a kid. For some reason, even though my self-esteem is usually next to nonexistent, talking about his first marriage, his first wife, etc., doesn’t bother me. That’s the beauty of having someone you trust completely.
Having said that, I’ve seen girls who have only been dating a guy for a few months at most freak the bleep out because their boyfriend called them by an ex’s name. So I know it depends entirely on the person.
In Erica’s case . . . I’m a little torn. In part, she would have had to be BLIND to not see it coming; Claudia hasn’t tried to get to know her and has instead treated her like someone else - someone she can’t stop talking about. (If Erica knows Stacey at all, she’ll have realized who she’s being treated like.) On the ( ... )

That aside, I really don’t know whose side to be on anymore. In Stacey vs. Claudia I was on Stacey’s side, since Jeremy seemed to know exactly who he wanted and as Rachel pointed out, Stacey could avoid a guy she really likes who likes her back and eventually he’ll just date someone else, or she can go for it safe in the knowledge that he didn’t like Claudia anyway. But on this side of Stacey’s possessiveness, I’m not sure either girl should be dating yet.
