"As they're talking they notice that the little bitches are talking about Mal and saying things like Pa Pike must be stupid to lose his job. Well, I agree he is stupid, I know that's not the reason he lost his job. Unless he was asked to watch some kids at work and they immediately set the whole place on fire while he stood there helpless wondering where Mallory was."

that made me LOL so damned hard! HILARIOUS!!

i LOVE this snark!!!!! i can't wait to read the next ones!! good lucky with 'dawn and the school spirit war' especially, i hate that fucking book! i love it when you rip dawn to shreds though, so it will be yet another awesome read!!!

Thank you so much! Yeah, I've only read snarks about 'The School Spirit War' but I know I'm getting myself into some shit. Anytime Dawn is involved, I know I'm in trouble. But those are always the most fun to snark because I hate Dawn so, so much.

this one should be pretty interesting to snark from what i can remember of it. very dramatic for absolutely no fucking reason. &the "drama" is so stupid&totally contrived that it can be pretty damned funny, even if just because it's completely fucking ridiculous. your dawn snarks are hilarious because of all of the hatred, you turn your hatred into comedic gold! i love it!

That's real good, Ann! Top notch writing!

Ann must be so devastated she that she wrote all about how about how horrible Amanda is, or Jenny or what loser Mallory is but no one sees it that way. That not only does no one agree with her they can hold up her own writing in the books to prove how that's not the case. Or like in this one Amanda worries her own bossiness is what made her friends leave. When has Karen ever done that? They cite many examples of Karen being the worse.

Most triumphant!

I like when Mallory gets to be triumphant!

I would LOVE for Ann to know about this comm and just how little everyone thinks of her. It's funny, I always see more recent books getting a lot of criticism, but I never heard anything about BSC books getting any. I remember when I got a little older, I would hear how Goosebumps were trashy (which they are. If you've read Blogger Beware, you'll see they're every bit as bad as these ones) but I've never heard anything against the BSC. Of course, now there's this comm which points out just how bad a writer Ann is. I sincerely do hope she knows people think she's the horrible writer she is. I just wish she was still in the public view so she'd get torn apart on a larger scale like the 50 Shades and Twilight authors.

The Coke and Oreos thing always stood out to me as a gross combination, too - but I remember another book (not BSC; it was The Andalite Chronicles of the Animorphs series) in which Loren’s mother offers the kids a snack of “pop and cookies” and even though I thought everything to do with those books was fantastic, even that made me wonder about the things kids in USA were eating. It was also surprising because everyone I knew said “pop” and all the American books I read said “soda”.

Something else that stood out to me in this book was Jessi asking Mal if she was going to fight the girls that were gossiping about her and Mal implying that the only reason she wasn’t going to start a real fight was because she and Jessi were outnumbered. It made me like her, I think, because I could believe she wouldn’t be afraid of a fair fight and that even when someone was insulting her father (I saw red when other kids insulted my father) she was clear-headed enough not to rush right in and start throwing her fists around, like I would have ( ... )

That's really weird that there was another instance of someone eating soda and cookies. Never in my life have i heard anyone do that irl. It just seems like a sugar overload that would hurt your teeth. Not to mention the combination of crumbly cookies and fizzy soda. Just thinking about it grosses me out.

I think pop in the US is a regional thing. My Grampa was from the south east and he used to say pop which we all thought was strange. Whenever I see things that take place out east or in the south, they tend to say pop. I was always interested in it because I enjoy how langues can change even within the same country.

Yes! That the baby-que! I'm addicted to Sims and Sims videos too!

I did Dawn and the School Spirit War and good Lord, did that book take a lot out of me. It was one of the dumbest books I've done. I'm glad I only had to snark it once.

For me, it was mostly that the tastes would probably mix, and the cookies wouldn't be softened because who dunks cookies in pop? Eating cookies when they're hard would probably hurt (but I don't dare try it, so I don't know) :)

Yup, I'm Canadian, and we grow up thinking everyone else says 'soda' - BSC-Snark has taught me stuff :)

I love seeing Sims pictures/GIFs in a snark! Sims is one of the only things I've ever liked that anyone else seems to know about! :)

I look forward to reading it, next time I'm in a Snarky mood :D
