Dawn and the Olda Boy! Part The End!

Feb 09, 2015 20:39

Welp! I made it! This last part isn't as terrible as the previous parts. There's some stupidity but nothing like hopping in a stranger's car. And I'm pretty mad at the fact that it's almost 80°. I cannot wait to move out of this Hell hole. Anyway, back to the snark. The end is pretty much filler. Like, there's a totally unneeded chapter. So, get ( Read more... )

I was about to say Claudia and Stacey could share sugar-free cookies, then I remembered Claudia would never go for it. I just imagined her being like Homer in that scene where he was going to eat a poisoned eclair and the thing that got him to throw it away was that it was low fat, not that it was poison.

I am quite sure Mallory would spend the majority of her money on earrings and visit the earring shop every day. I like vegetables on my pizza, but I didn't know you could get broccoli on it until recently. Oh, and God have mercy on your soul for the next book.

Were they doing a reference to "Flowers in the Attic" with the poisoned eclair storyline? Talking about the books and movies, the poison was on doughnuts or cookies depending on what you're reading/watching.

Travis and Sara going to the Merry Go Round everyday was just a plot device to make them easy to tail. If they had gone anywhere else in Travis's car, Dawn would have been screwed. So they're buying earrings everyday rather than just buying what they wanted in one day. And thank you, may God have mercy on my soul indeed.

I think the reason her and Travis wouldn't have worked out even if they were the proper ages, is that they never shut up about how good they look.--I kinda wish they had kept Dawn's original description for the character. It's true Mary Anne noticed her hair the first time she saw her but she also thought she was plain looking but that didn't matter.

Dawn isn't too pleased about this, as right she shouldn't.--Agreed. It'd be different if Mary Anne ran the idea past Dawn and Dawn agreed to being introduced through writing to each other or if she even had an 'what the hell, might as well!" attitude about it. But Dawn has a problem with it, oops, too late to do anything about it now!

But of course, MA doesn't care about that!--I swear I'm going to picture all of these girls as Roseanne clones. Roseanne was always trying to push men onto Jackie.

Love the snark and can't wait for the next one! :)

If I had the strength of mind, I would read through all the books to pinpoint when Dawn went from plain to a model. I wish they had kept that in too. Like, way to play with little girls egos, Ann.

It really irritates me that she was always pushing how gorgeous Claudia was and that everyone else would look like a freak wearing her clothes. Like you have to be a drop dead gorgeous slim Japanese girl to look good and have your own style. I spent a good portion of my childhood hating myself for not looking like Claudia. But I learned to say, 'Fuck it. Ann's an idiot'.

I'd be curious of that. My guess is it'd be very early on. If I had to place a bet, I bet that book is the first, last, and only time Dawn was referred to as plain ( ... )

Dawn is tailing Travis and arm candy and nearly gets run over by a bus.

The amount of spying these girls do is unsettling.

Thank you, Claudia. You get a cookie. Stacey concurs that Travis is a total creep. Thank you, Stacey. You get...uh...to watch Claudia eat the cookie.

HAHAHA! A+, will LOL again. HAHAHA!!

Newsflash, dumbfuck, all pizza places have veggies available. Can we add pizza to the list of shit Ann knows nothing about? Also, I don't care how many veggies you top it with, pizza is not a health food.

I've never seen broccoli for pizza outside of specialty pizza places.

Also MY pizza is healthy. Whole-wheat crust, fresh pesto made with olive oil, pine nuts, spinach, sprinkling of mozzarella. Mmmmmm. Low in sodium, high in whole grains and veggies.

That's so weird! I used to get broccoli on my pizza at Sabarro's. Hardly a specialty place. And omg! Your pizza sounds DYNAMITE!! I'm like the only person in my house who likes pesto and it kills me we don't have it more often.

The Sbarros around here have no broccoli. I wonder if it's regional.

I love the hell out of pesto. I'll stand there eating it right from the container. Since my husband and daughter don't care for it, we'll just make a couple dishes that night, like last night when we made both tomato sauce pizza and my pizza. :)
