I admit right off the bat that I'm awful when it concerns ages. That older boy looks to be in his 30s. And Dawn really does look like she's wearing a wig here...picture tv show Dawn with her first wig on before they found the better looking 2nd wig

Dawn is like, the weakest 'individual' ever. I don't know why Ann thought no one would notice that she's constantly swayed by what others think. It's one thing to ask someone's opinion on something and quite another to just do what someone says blindly.

I...have no idea who Topanga is...But, scrunched hair is where it looks like crinkle fries. And it looks either dry as a tumbleweed or wet as a seal depending on how much gel and hairspray you slather on it. Either way, not a good look. And I'm glad you're enjoying the snark and deemed it screen cap worthy!

this book icks me the fuck out. i still, to this day, have zero clue why a 16 year old guy would want to lead on a 13 year old girl just so he could give her a makeover. WTF is that all about?! he had a girlfriend, but he wanted to makeover a girl three years younger...whyyyy? never mind the fact that dictating how anyone should look is just controlling as fuck.

Only thing I can think of is it's like a Carrie plotline. Who believes the girls are calm, cool and collected when it concerns being around somebody they got a crush on? I can picture them practically jumping on top of a guy and some of the more asshole-ish guys would think "Wouldn't it be fun to mess with this little girl's head? I'll pretend like I've got the hots for her and see just how far I can lead her along."

Or it could be like an episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour I watched a couple of weeks ago. I won't spoil the ending but the woman is one of these people that cloaks her criticism under "I'm just concerned for you! I just want to give you advice even though you haven't asked for it or any of my input! I'm just trying to do a good thing!" Dawn might be more receptive to this kind of stuff while the people on the AHH episode were getting more and more fed up with this busybody with each passing minute.

No way the guy is just 16 in that pic. Why is 16 "older boys," but Scott in Boy-Crazy Stacey isn't?

When your expected outfit is outrageous, then you'll always look good based on what people expect. On anyone else, Cher's outfits would look stupid, but she so thoroughly claimed her look that she looks fantastic. it's the killer-confidence that makes her look good. Same for Claud. That's why Claud looks great. Put her in Stacey's "normal" clothing, and she'd look strange.

Although this particular outfit is a pretty cute one by most standards.

Mary Anne calls Dawn over to rescue her from Stacey who is 'scrunching' her hair. Oh, my Lord. I literally cringed at the memory of that look.

I feel like Stacey would be into older men. I was just wondering if there was any point to Scott being older because Stacey could have gone boy-crazy over a boy her own age and a boy her own age could have been using her as well. I wouldn't put it past Stacey to use logic such as, "Girls mature faster than boys, so right now I have the maturity of someone older, so it's okay for me to date this older guy.

That story about your brother is hilarious. I think I will tell my brother what the girls told you just to see his reaction. He'd probably tell me to get away from him and leave.

I think Scott was 18 because it's far more realistic to have an 18-year-old as a lifeguard than a 13-year-old.

I totally agree that avocados are far more Californian than granola. I have NOT seen that movie but now I'd deadly curious to do so!
