She leaves the dock and thinks about Wes, the much older math teacher she had the hots for about 10 books earlier in the series, and about how much it sucked that he saw her as a 13-year-old girl and not an equal--Holy shit where does Stacey come up with some of this stuff? I swear she would've jumped at the chance to go on a date with Wes. I bet she'd still want to even if somebody explained that it was illegal.

I have friends who think kids should be seen as equals to adults. They always backpedal when I ask if they're fine with NAMBLA then, if children and adults are the same.

Great snark! :D

Stacey is so selfish and I love that she doesn't even realize it until she's got no one left...so she's probably just apologizing because she's lonely, not for the other person's feelings. Nice.

Her fixiation on Robert is creepy. I mean, she takes him to work every day? THEY'RE THIRTEEN!!!! Geesh, girl is gonna end up pregnant in high school, poster child for an STD or both. >.

I hate how the victims and other people who were genuinely wronged always end up apologizing. I don't think Ann realizes you can have a make-up with only one person apologizing.
