I don't think I have posted here since about 2011 or early 2012. Since then, I got married and moved to Germany. Due to the move, my BSC collection is "sadly" very limited at the moment. This has bothered me since the beginning! Did Kristy burn her dresses (okay, now I have an image of femi-nazi high school Kristy organizing a bra burning, and since it's not the 70's, everyone forgetting that women used to burn bras, so this ends up being another Great Idea, because, of course, she can't have any Regular Ideas)? Now I want to burn all the Kristy's Great Idea book covers.

And yes, how sweet is it that Mrs. Thomas makes those phone calls in front of her son? And during dinner, nonetheless.

Vad bra, då ska jag göra det :D Jag håller på och skriver första delen så det är fint att veta att det finns intresse. Det blir faktiskt min första så jag hoppas det blir bra...

I'm jealous - I saw a German HP book in a used bookstore last year, but didn't buy it, and now I really wish I had... I do have HP in French and Russian, though, and a TON of BSC in French, both French and French-Canadian.

In German, BH is very literally a boob-holder, so what a perfect association.

The arbitrary name changes are the best part about any foreign translation. Thank you for snarking this!

Well, in German 'BH' is actually short for 'Büstenhalter', which basically does mean 'boob holder' ('bust', if we're being polite here).

Daisy? The only reason I can think of for changing it was that they decided Stacey was too hard for German kids to pronounce.

And 2:42? I never understood that, even in the English edition. Our school day at that age finished at 3.

I never understood that time, either! Why not make it 2:45? So weird.

The 100-word essay STILL bothers me, too. I had to write several pages for essays when I was in junior high, so isn't 100 words just about the length of your introductory paragraph? I say this rather bitterly, as in my day job I need to write something like 3,600 words per day.
