Ah, I'm a little in love with Alan Gray. I woulda been all over him in middle school because I love the funny-men. Though, I did write a fanfic once where he ends up with Logan. So what does that say about me?
Hey, I needed that portal! I was going to go babysit for the Pikes at their beach house for free so I can get lots of cheap candy (and ignore the kids). But I didn't get summer. So I trolled Dawn.
I've figured out what Dawn's behaviour reminds me of. There's a Ramona book where she has a party, and sulks when the kids start playing with toy instruments and ignoring her. She pitches a tantrum. She's all of four in that book.
I lived in a town of about 9,000 and my graduating class was maybe 100-150 students, so it just seemed impressive you had so many in high school!
We had a fair share of people who started their families during or right after high school. I understand where you're coming from, definitely. It's pretty rare for people from my class to have less than three kids.
Great snark. I never realized how unreasonable Dawn is in this book, now I can see she's just as much of a jerk as Katie Shea. And it always bugged me how all Logan cares about is how everything affects the baseball team.
"Discombobulate" ALWAYS makes me think of Claudia closing her eyes during Mal's trial job in Hello Mallory. Probably because that was the first place I read it. XD
And "cataclysmic" always reminds me of Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield bursting into a "cataclysmic fit of laughter" in one of the Sweet Valley High books. I think it was at Todd, Ken and Winston's cross dressing antics in the cheerleading miniseries.
God, if I'd used that space in my brain for something useful, I could have won a Nobel Prize by now. XD
Assinine is a very cool word. It makes me think of Dawn. (Maybe because it has ass in it.) Other great words are:
Conniption (Dawn, don't have a conniption) Pedantic (Mary Anne you are being pedantic, you don't have to wear real pjs) Emaciated (Just because that girl is not as emaciated as Dawn it does not mean she is fat) Machismo (Logan can sometimes be machismo) Pestilence (Dawn is a pestilence on society)
