Oh man, you guys. Before I read this book, I had only ever read the first four mysteries, but I’d been avoiding the rest because they seemed so campy. Mal's dad comes with her to the door the first time she sits for the Craines in "Ghost Cat." Predictably Mal is soooo embarrassed by this.

Do I get my hundred dollars now? lol

Mrs. Hemphill goes first and goes on and on and on about how cute Stacey is, and so polite and well-behaved, not like teenagers THESE DAYS, until the cop is finally like, “I will give you one thousand real dollars to talk about the goddamn counterfeit bill.”
I think that made my day.

This was gold! And I totally feel the same way about looking things up and then having the computer seized - I spent half of yesterday reading about torture and execution methods, and I'm a little bit paranoid right now.

Does typing "miss j big hairy ashy balls" into Google in an attempt to find this post (the relevant part is at the bottom), remembering that I'm on the work computer, panicking and quickly deleting it from the history count?
