GOOPS is real, I think. I remember my grandmother reading that book to me.

Anyways! Great snark. I think I remember thinking this mystery was lame even when I read it as a kid.

You are right! I just looked it up on amazon-it is from 1968 and it is described as a tongue in cheek etiquette book for children! Huh...you learn something new every day!

This was awesome--I thoroughly enjoyed reading your whole snark. This used to be one of my favorite books when I was younger, although I'm not sure why.
