I love Sarah on the show and I love how you write her. The way she knows and accepts that Dean is and always will be the most important person in Sam's life. The way the two of them get along despite being so different. Just great! *adds to memories*

Good to see another SN fic from you. :) I liked this. I really liked how you wrote Sarah, and her banter with Dean was quite amusing. Dean’s awkwardness around her felt totally in character. While he likes her, she keeps bringing up these emo moments that he’s not a big fan of, the poor guy. *g*

Favorite lines:

"We're going to be fine," he tells Sarah. "We're going to be fine."

"OK," she says, "maybe you want to stick with just saying things once if you want me to believe you."

"Sam won't talk about her," Sarah confesses suddenly. "His girlfriend, the one who died. He won't even tell me her name. Do you think that's a bad sign?"

Ooh, how awkward for Dean. *winces*

"At the auction. Why'd you go for Sam and not me? I mean, sure, once you get to know us, but first sight? Come on. I'm a little insulted."

Sam, muttering incoherently about the crazy fucking people he gets stuck with, grips Dean's hand where it still rests on Sarah's shoulder and just holds on.

What a marvelous job you did here, of charting that weirdness that lies somewhere between Dean's dealings with his family and his dealings with innocents.

Especially this: I mean, sure, once you get to know us, but first sight? That's just so Dean, to be completely serious about the self-deprecating bit and joking about the self-aggrandizing bit.
