Struck me really hard, both on a sexy and FEELINGS level. Because it gets at so much of what Jack is: cocky and confident but still deeply uncertain about things, and how David has the power to kind of push through all that for him (even while David himself is more outwardly uncertain). Oh also, omg, I LOVE the idea of David as a reporter! BRILLIANT CHOICE. I didn't even consider what they'd be doing in the future but that's SO EXACTLY RIGHT.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I love that so much! And Jack's response! It's all just so perfect. Your voices are - AS USUAL - perfection, and I love the way you've woven in descriptions to fit the time and the people. So, so good.

Yes, I totally agree! I find it so interesting how Jack is so brash and assertive, but David also kind of dares him into greatness, sometimes? Which obviously kind of informed the dynamic of this whole story, actually--I am fascinated by how Jack is willing to go a very long way on his own, but also very willing to let David push him the last step (and how David has become more assertive, too, or at least craftier--hee). I love them! <3
And I have had several conversations with Ma Noir about Jack and David's possible future professions, so she gets significant credit for that part. :D
