Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. YAY. I felt exactly the same with LaDainian Tomlinson stayed with the Chargers for nearly his entire career, even though he totally should have left because no one loses like the Chargers, but we loved him SO MUCH and it made me SO HAPPY when he stayed. Felix seems super awesome. <3

I just read this post to my husband, because awwww. So well put. We're Twins fans. When Joe Mauer signed his big contract, this is pretty much what I felt. And since signing the big contract, some people have been jerks about it and hard on the guy what with injuries and him not having an MVP season every year or winning the batting title every year or hitting for power (dude, that's not his thing). Big contract backlash. I suppose King Felix may get some of that too. But I just don't care because Joe Mauer is a Twin and even when he struggles, he's still pretty damn awesome. And for him to play anywhere else would be wrong
