LJ, I have music to pimp to you, and that is MWK's new EP Luna Espera, available for download on iTunes or Amazon for the bargain price of $4.95. Five songs, each one a unique gem, and I am so impressed with this. The variety in sound that they've achieved here (relative to their earlier albums, at least), the interesting directions they're ( Read more... )

Also I am very pleased that you are going to buy the MWK album, because (WTF HIT POST TOO SOON) I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT. IF YOU CAN'T TELL.

(Speaking of exciting things, just got my ticket for Peter Mulvey tomorrow! YAAAAAAY.)

Yes. I am... not entirely comfortable with the first-row reserved thing, actually? That's new, since the last time I was there. :/ But yeah. General seating! The place is tiny, I don't need to be in his lap. Hee.

You could guitar-gasm and talk about these boys forever and it wouldn't be nearly enough for me, Ms Brynn. I love how Dave's in his element on tour, and how adorable his Cheese Threshold is, and how MWK's new music is making you feel - I'm not there yet, curse the jurisdictional issues of iTunes, but wild horses couldn't keep me away - and what you choose to do about it.

Aww, thanks, sweetheart--I am SO GLAD to be able to share this stuff with you. ♥ And speaking of sharing, do you want me to hook you up with the new MWK while you're waiting to be able to buy it? I'd be happy to!

You're so kind to offer, Brynn, and I will not say no, though I would of course look to buy it anyway once they release in non-iTunes format.

Oh, see, I keep thinking it's "you're the captain, here's your ship." If it's "he" that makes things COMPLETELY different. (I wonder if Neal is going to put lyrics on his website?) But I LOVE the song. Driving pop/rock songs are my jam, man. I also love the fakeout title of "Mean to You" and just how straightforwardly sweet it is.
