I have long realized this about myself. All my favorite songs are 3/4 time.

"Tempus perfectum". Early medieval music had two time signatures, "tempus perfectum" (in 3) and "tempus imperfectum" (in 2). Almost all sacred music was in 3, on the theory that three was the number of the Holy Trinity and various other things in Christian iconography, so it must be closer to the music of the spheres, or God, or both.

I like 6/8, myself. It's in two! It's in three! It's both at once, depending on how you accent things!
