Ack. So I didn't have a chance to look at it closely when I originally commented above, but considering the source is that black-hearted harridan Lanie Grace and below commenter's remarks about Ashley Miller calling her delusional, well...crikey.
Still, I RULLY WANTS IT TO BE TROOOOOO!
ETA: A little background on LG's "left turn in Albuquerque" bit. The WB/Halcyon exec "source" is supposedly making reference to the fanfiction project Terminator: The Connor Wars, which is a full season 3 being written by a guy named CJ (wait for it...who lives in Albuquerque). I accidentally found it a few weeks ago and I was honestly impressed with the plot, characterisation, pacing and quality. He posts new "episodes" every 10-14 days or so (in the form of 45 page scripts). Also does really interesting meta on the show.
Son of ETA: Oh, I see in her comments section Lanie the Twit gets Understatement of the Year award when she remarks Josh and Ash don't like me too well. Aw, sweetpea, ya' think?
If anyone from TSCC will know then it will be James Middleton; he also worked on T4 and has close ties with the Halcyon people. If he says anything about it, then I'll comment with it.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, because the chances are so slim, and would it be any good if Friedman and the other writers are not involved? Why did Fox do this to us???
And thanks for pointing out the exact fanfic project that was being referred to! :D
I know, that's sort of how I feel. It would be awesome, but it seems too good to be true! I also wonder if they'd keep the same actors, etc., since it would really not be the same with different actors. (Not that this franchise isn't a revolving door of recasting, but.)
Okay, I wrote 2 writers and a producer about Lanie Grace's article, and I heard back from one of the writers already, he said : "I just read it... and literally every word is delusional."
I await news from the producer, since he still has a Halcyon connection (those that hold the franchise rights)
Now, keep in mind that she also reported that the writers are not involved this time, and she was right about the cancellation, so you never know... However, without the writers Halcyon will find a way to f**k it up any way. :(
If she's the one reporting it, I'm not believing it. And if the folks at Terminator Wiki were so instrumental in bringing the show back, wouldn't they be the first to break the news.
And what's with her claim SyFy took a serious look at TSCC? Sure, they may have thought about it, but it was widely known that they didn't have the money to pay for it.
