[So much nicer than the annual New Year's Eve party her parents hosted. She and her brother would be given sparkling apple cider and stand quietly at their parents' side as they gave a toast before midnight, and then be rushed to bed immediately after the count down. The party would be full of adults and she and Gunn were always so bored...]
