The official vet (who is something like the animal protection law in town) told her to let the dog go...she went to 5 different vets and then when she got the order to let the dog go she came to us. My boss called the official vet and told her, that the woman isn't able to loose the dog yet...but he'll try to persuade her. The woman lost her husband last year and of course isn't in a state to loose her beloved dog now...still I think it's kind of sick to keep the poor dog alive...sigh...
And wow, I knów how hard it can be to make the decision that it is time.. but to keep a dog in such suffering just cause you can't say goodbye .. breaks my heart. Isn't there anything one can do, to have her court ordered or such?? This is .. animal abuse :( So sorry you have to deal with such cases as well, must be very difficult to keep things professional and not grab that lady by her collar and shake her like crazy!

Ich werde ja dann versuchen wieder an Gesellschaft zu arbeiten...so schwer das auch wird, aber ich lebe ja noch hoffentlich 30 Jahre...da darf dann gerne noch ein Katerchen einziehen...egal was die Landlords sagen.

God Heavens, that dogowner disgusts me. How can anyone claim to love an animal and let it suffer like that?!
