I got more books this weekend. I've noticed that lately I'm quite in the mood for harder sci-fi and space opera-esque sorts of things. Probably has something to do with watching lots of Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek. On Friday after yoga with me mam and cousin, we ended up at Half-Price Books (joy!). I left with:

The Foundation series was basically the groundwork for the Ender saga, so I don't know how I haven't read it either. Lemme know if it's worth picking up.

Also, 24 has not been a bad year so far. You'll do fine, promise.

I LOVED Ender's Game, though I haven't (yet) read any of the others. What are you reading now, Le Roux?

Hooray for books and more books! I'm glad things are going well for you. Which denomination are you being baptized into?

Thanks! I am generally content with life right now, which is a pretty amazing thing/feeling. I'm being baptized into the Catholic Church.

How's the new job/has it started yet?

The test-scoring thing starts on Monday, and I'm looking forward to it. Even if the work itself isn't great (which it might be), I'll be happy to get out and be around other people more, and keep a more structured schedule.

What attracted you to the Catholic faith over the others?

God ... Old Man's War was PHENOMENAL! The series itself is very well written and it draws you in.

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it :D

Also, I have all of Star Trek: TNG, Voyager, and DS:9 on my server. If you need any shoot me an email.

I finished OMW in two days at work (would've been less than a day, but I did have to get some stuff done for my job...), and I LOVED it. I now have the rest of the series from the library. Woot!

And thanks for the Trek offer; my mom has all of TNG so I'm good there, and I have all of Voyager seas 1 on my laptop. As for the rest of it and then DS9, I'm not ready for them at the moment! Too many other shows I'm working my way through! Ahh! hehe.

Congrats on things!

And, seriously lady, you need a personal assistant or something. Or should I just schedule you for a few months in advance now to make sure I'm on your radar?

:) Love ya!

Yoga. It's a wonderful way of living. I've only been practicing for just over a month now, with a private instructor, and it's all starting to come together. After partaking in this venture, I am shocked to learn just how much I do not focus on the living world.

Will you be available sometime during the week of July 13th? I'll be in town then if you'd like to try and get together.
