Thanks. No trains, at least... (My dad has just been diagnosed with cancer, albeit what we are hoping, and so far seems to be, Old Bloke Prostate Cancer, so not the most relaxing weekend. But I think we're all okay for now.) I am feeling like a walk tomorrow is what I need, though it won't solve anything other than my scrunched knees and shoulders.
Oh hell, so sorry to hear about your dad. Definitely not a relaxing weekend. A walk may not solve anything, but in times like these, you also need to look after yourself, so make sure you do that.
*points upward* What Kazzy said. We were living in London then, but were lucky not to lose any roof tiles. Getting to work the next day was an adventure.
I think I could have got to school, technically, but there were trees down all along our road, and I'd barely slept, so parents were pretty calm about me staying at home.
I actually love high winds - probably a good thing as we get them so frequently during the winter - and will go and stand on the prom for the shear pleasure of being out in a good force 10 :)
Hah, we are very different! I think it's the thing about us not being well prepared for them here. Certainly not the storm of 87, which was a big shock. When I'm outside and can see things are pretty sturdy, it's much easier to relax.
