Good things

I said a while back that I was finally going to shift my longstanding menu planning game to include a veganish week (it's now veganish week then veggie, then poultry/fish, followed by a week of anything goes). I'm not wild about the rhetoric of veganity, but undeniably plant-based eating has upsides, and I had found my veggie week cooking getting ( Read more... )

They all sound good - pity S2C doesn't like tomatoes, mushrooms, peas or pancakes....

I had peppers stuffed with curried vegetables for a meal out last night - it was really good, and interesting for me as I usually would have added rice to the stuffing, but it worked well enough without.

Yum! I’ve just bought Jamie’s veg book and there’s some nice recipes in there for us. We find we are rarely eating meat from week to week although we do eat oily fish twice a week if we can.

They were really good. I don't know that I'll stick to this eating plan long term, but so far I haven't been short of things I want to cook for this week, at all!

It's funny, I get so frustrated with the Ottolenghi recipes in The Guardian - they're all so damn complicated and call for such esoteric ingredients. This one sounds simple and delicious. I'll definitely give it a go.
