Thanks! I don't think Toth was especially bothered about making his two halves into fully functioning personalities, do you?

Oh, that's good. And scary.

Seconded. That last line - ouch. I need to read through this a second time, there's so many layers here.

Thanks so much! Half-people freak me out, somehow. Anya got a raw deal in The Replacement, I've often thought, so this is the flipside I suppose.

This is terrific. I like the idea of Willow's aura being a rainbow--it feels right for such a complicated character.

Also, major, major ouch at Buffy's pity and Tara's frustration with Magicless Willow. It's one thing for Willow to feel that she's not good enough without the magic. Having her best friend AND her girlfriend confirm that to some extent just makes me ache for her.

Thanks so much! It seemed to make sense to have Willow break this way, but I think Tara's missing that magic!Willow took the determination and drive of real Willow with her too - otherwise she couldn't ever have got as powerful as she did. But poor not!magic!Willow probably misses that too, and is as crushed as you say.

That makes total sense - and perhaps the ambition, too, the need to excel.

This is fantastic.

This made me feel most for Willow, oddly enough, because everyone's reactions to the half of her without magic offer more than enough to understand why magic became so excessively important to her.

I applaud you for this. It was excellent!

I loved what you did with this prompt. Especially this line: But for Willow, it's like the magic is everything, like that's what holds her together, makes her who she is today.

Thanks so much for participating in the Ficathon!
