Feeling the Gratitude

Jun 12, 2015 13:29

It's been a little while since I put up a gratitude post. So let's see what I'm feeling grateful for right now. Hmmm. ::ponders::

Jurassic World. I'm so glad I have the money to go see this with my boy tonight. I love all the Jurassic Park movies (yes, even the bad ones) and I've really been looking forward to this one. Let's see what you got, ( Read more... )

That's an awesome list. And wow, the CROP program sounds fantastic! I'm really glad there's something like that near you. ^_^

(Also, even though it's been years since I saw The Lion King musical, I still can't get over how well Julie Taymore handled the transition to stage. o_o)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm really happy with the CROP program. Less hours for my boy to spend by himself. I wish they needed parent chaperones for the trip, though. That's the only thing I don't like about this school, as opposed to his old one. They almost never ask for parents to come on field trips and things, and they're doing such cool stuff. ::pouts like a pouty thing::

Let me know what you think of Jurassic World! I'm glad you had such a good time at your reunion, though it sucks to come home and have to temporarily give up on your comfy bed for friends.

I've seen like....3 episodes of The Sentinel. I've always meant to watch more, just never got around to it. So I *love* Sentinel fusion/crossovers, but I hesitate to read pure Sentinel fics because I'm not certain how much I'll understand. But man, I've never been more tempted than I am by your Sentinel fic - you know how much I love your work!

Jurassic World was, in a word, AWESOME! I really enjoyed it. Chris Pratt is turning into one heck of an action hero. I hear there's a rumor he might be in the Indiana Jones reboot. I'd totally watch him in that!

If you've read Sentinel fusions you know the basics. And actually fusions are how I got into the fandom to start with. LOL! If you really want to read this, all you have to know is that it takes place after an ep where Blair was trapped in an elevator with some other people and there was a bomb inside, in a brief case. Coincidentally (ha!) one of the other passengers was a welder, so they cut a hole in the bottom of the elevator and dropped the bomb out. All's well that ends well. I embellished a bit. ::grins::

The series is okay, though the writing can sometimes be frustrating as hell. I hear they're finally releasing the other three seasons on DVD this year, so I can't wait for that.

Ahhhh, awesome :D Chris Pratt won me over with Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks & Rec, so I would totally be willing to watch Indiana Jones with him as the star XD

Ooo. I was given the impression that most Sentinel fusions actually have a different take on the "Sentinel & Guide" bit than the actual show. But if that's all I need to know, then I think I'm off to read your fic :

Well, even Sentinel fandom fics dive more deeply into the Sentinel and Guide business. The show left so many threads dangling, it got infuriating.

Never watched Parks & Rec but I've seen clips of him on that. So funny how he's turned into the go-to action guy now. LOL!

Olean, NY!!! FTW! I live outside of Buffalo!

I love how it's such a small world!

And love you, too! ::smishes you::

::smishes you back::

Ah, Buffalo. Only been there a couple of times. The Galleria, of course. And I think that's where we went to the adult sex shop at some ridiculous hour of the night, in our jammies, with an off-duty cop. Man, I really used to know how to live! LOL!

Did you get buried in all that snow Buffalo had this winter?

You do know how to live! ::grin::

Yup. Buried ass-deep this winter... glad that I can do some work from home and not have to travel every single day...

If you're ever coming this way again, poke me and maybe we can meet up!

Well, planning to go back for 25th reunion in five years. That's the only time I'm ever out that way. LOL! But I usually find myself in Rochester at least once a year, and that's close-ish. Right? Sorta?

Glad you survived the snow. That was crazy! Holy cow!
