Apparently, there is a man who started a nation that intends to reside on the moon.  Some guy started selling plots of land on the moon and then decided to turn it into a separate nation with it's own autonomous government and he wants the UN to acknowledge their sovereignty.

You do have a point. The whole thing is walking a fine line between being awesome and completely stupid (and it is such a fine line too) and somewhere while reading this I just teetered into the "I think this is fucking dumb." frame of mind.
I guess it was mostly his presumption that annoyed me.

The first time I heard about some jackhole selling real estate on the moon I was pretty taken aback. I mean shit yeah it's absurd. But people sell stars (like those unimaginably hot balls of gas in our night sky), and people have declared themself their own country before.. so I suppose it was only a matter of time before something like this reared its ugly head. Awesome though it is heheheh.
